Upaya Peningkatan Motivasi Belajar Siswa Melalui Penerapan Metode Hypnoteaching Pada Materi Menghormati Orang Tua dan Guru Kelas VIII di SMPN 1 Ingin Jaya Desa Lubok Gapuy Aceh Besar

This classroom action research aims to enhance students’ learning motivation on the topic Respecting Parents and Teachers through the application of the Hypnoteaching method in Grade VIII of SMPN 1 Ingin Jaya, located in Lubok Gapuy Village, Aceh Besar. The study originated from the low level of students’ motivation toward Islamic Religious Education (PAI) observed during the PPL program in the odd semester. The research was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation of teacher and student activities as well as through learning motivation questionnaires. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ motivation after the implementation of the Hypnoteaching method. In the first cycle, students’ active participation was still low; however, it improved notably in the second cycle after the teacher introduced improvements such as providing positive suggestions and using instructional video media. Therefore, the application of the Hypnoteaching method proved effective in creating an enjoyable learning atmosphere, fostering enthusiasm, and enhancing students’ motivation to understand the values of respecting parents and teachers.
